Junior High Religion

Mr. Evans

Welcome to Junior High Religion

This is my 5th year teaching at SVdP, and my fourteenth year teaching in the Diocese of Phoenix schools.  I first taught school as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Diourbel, Senegal back in 1980.   Since then I've taught throughout Arizona and even two years in Costa Rica!  I look forward to teaching your children this year.

Safe Environment Training

Safe Environment education for children focuses on identifying appropriate physical, emotional, and spiritual boundaries.  All children are reminded that they are loved and valued by God and the Church. In addition, the important message that they can talk to trusted adults if they or anyone they know are being hurt, is reinforced.  In 7th grade Internet Safety and Cyberbullying is the topic.  Ms. Geri Berwanger, School Counselor, will be providing these lessons this coming week.  Please feel free to contact her at school if you have any questions.
